Sigh rio‘ longer, loved one ! hear riie ! Cast thdse pearly tears aside! I’ll be ever nigh to cheer thee, ; ' 1 Firm arid trite?,’ whate’er b’ritidk ? Cease your mourning !—why this Sorrow 1 Let your bosom b’s at rest 1 Hours of bliss may dajvn to-morrow, Bright scones glow from east to west. Sigh no' longer! Soothe thy woundgd feelings, loved one ! Thou, I know, Time’s Healing ait Cannot raise thee ; them aft .longing For the hour we fre’er Shrill part; Listen to each stream and' b/ro'bklet! How their cadence strikes the ear ; Play in tune a well-matched couplet, Thy lone wayward heart to cheery . Sigh no longer 1 Heed riot those who may .in rancour Malign me as false, untrue ! Calm, serene, each thought: at anchor. Lays ever open to thy thy viCW. Now may guaidian angels ever Mark the' pathway thou may’st tread.
