London, February 23. Adelaide wheat, 59s 6d; Australian tallow—best beef, 35s 6d; best mutton, 368 6d. At the wool sale to-day, 8000 bales were catalogued. The firm and active demand is continued.
February. 24. At the wool sale to-day, 8400 bales were catalogued. The increased prices were firmly maintained.

In the HoSise of Commons to-day, a motion to restrict the duratiou of Parliaments, to five years, to abolish the immunity of the members of the Houses of Commons aud Peers from arrest, were brought forward. Both motions, however were defeated, after a debate. Calcutta, February 24. The Indiau Finance Minister made his financial statement in the Legislative Council to-day. It showed Indian finance in a very Favorable condition, having a surplus of £400,000, consequently there will be no increase of taxation, nor will any new loan be required. -:..:'.'•'•
