In the English High Court of Justice on 4th December, an application was made on behalf of the Australian Mortgage Land and Finance Company, for an injunction to restrain the Australian and New Zealand Mortgage Company from carrying on business under that or any other name only colorably different from the name of the plaintiff company. The Vice-Chancellor was of opinion that the defendants’ name did not so closely resemble that of the plaintiffs as to be calculated to deceive or to call for the interference of the Court. He therefore refused the motion.
