A reply has been received by the Chairman of the Kumara Education Reserve Committee from the Commissioners stating that they are not yet acquainted with the provisions of the new Act, and that they will consider the question of the Reserve at their next monthly meeting. There were five bags of mails for Kumara, but no passengers by the Christchurch coach that passed the Bealey at an early hour this evening.
