HOSPITAL COMMITTEE.

A meeting of the local Hospital Committee was held in the Secretary's Room last evening, at eight o'clock. Present: Messrs M'iCenzie (in the chair), Blake, Everett, Agnevr, Mansfield, Pearn, Brown, Campbell, Garquillo, O'Elaheity, Spyere. The minutes of the previous meeting were read and confirmed.

The Secretary's balance-sheet, together with the Doctor's Report for the past qua. ter, were read, received, and adopted.

Tenders were opened from Messrs S. S. Pollock and A. Foldi, for the supply of groceries and provisions for the halfyear ending June 30, 1880. That of Mr Pollock's, being the lowest, was accepted.

. The undermentioned tenders for supplies during the same period were also accepted :—Mr J. Ryan, milk, at 4§d per quart; Mr P, Adamson, bread, at 8d the 4ft. loaf; Mr Foley, for butcher meat, 4§d per ft. ; Mr A. Foldi, wines and spirits; Mr Galland, for fuuerals. The Secretary was instructed to inform the successful tenderers that they must seud in their monthly accounts at least three days previous to a Committee meeting, or they will not be paid till the following month. The boxing and covering of a drain near the Hospital was referred to the house committee to report thereon at next meeting. A motion was carried that the new rules, be handed to the doctor for his consideration, and that a special meetiug be called for Tuesday next, to adopt said rules."

Cash received per Mr Everett, £1; from a patient (Reid), £1 10s. Accounts to the amount of .£B6 10s were passed for payment. Messrs Kempthorae, Prosser, and Cot's account for drugs was also passed for payment.
