So far as the com, l mitting of imposition against the publid in such a caste is concerned, the copse l quences would hot he qerioris •, hut ad the qualities of both of the products are in many cases directly opposed to onte another, We consider it oiir duty td direct the public attention i:o the foh lowing facts The eucalyptus .oil is 'recorded to Ute of value as a medicament in cases of rheumatism of secondary hatrire, and manifests a drawing, blistering effect upon the skin. Any blistering brought oh by the application of a medicament must increase incarnation, am} it is therefore evident that in cases of wounds, colds, bronchitis, diptheria, croup, sprains the cUrative power of our extract oh the named diseases being uriqutestion l Ably proved by former publications ! ih this paper. An application of the oil instead of our eitract must impair the diseased; ( .' The trhth of. oUr assertibd is fouhded upon the fact that the oil is a resinous product equivalent to common turpemtine, its market value being about three shillings one pound weight ; our extract consists of the evaporating particles of . the guni leaves, soothing ' and healing in its effects, its price being twenty-four shillings for ohe pound weight. Cured after three applications of the extract. The Wife of Mr Fitekel suffered id the bend of the knee from a swelling which had formed a lump of Considerable size, disabling her from attending to any work. She removed the swell l ing Completely by a continued applica- - tion of tile extract; , . The Donald Times* of Ist December* 1877, states Last week the eldest boy of Mr Morgan aWOke in the night crying with earache.
