AM EETTNG will be held in the Resident Magistrate’s Court House, Kumara, on SATURDAY LYE NINO, the 6th instant, at Eight o’clock, for the purpose of Forming a COMMITTEE to canvass the Kumara District for Subscriptions in aid of the above Fund. SIR -We, the undersigned, having received intimation from the members of the Ladies’ Benevolent Society that they will no longer be able to carry on the work of that Institution, hereby respectfully beg that you will, at your convenience, call a public meeting of the inhabitants of Kumara, for the purpose of considering what steps shall be taken to meet the contingency.
