In the Hou:;e last night, thanks to the untiring efforts of your members Messrs Seddon and Reid, the motion to reduce the gold duty by sixpence an ounce per annum till tit : is wholly abolished was, on a carried by 39 to 18. • The sludge channel of Kelly's Terrace, Stafford, is now under consideration by the Goldßelds Committee. The railway deviation to Kumara has been favorably reported on by the Public Petitions Committee.
