So far as the committing of imposition against the public in such a case is concerned, the consequences would not be serious • but aid the qualities of both of the products are in many c .*os directly opposed to : Olio another, we rinsider it our duty tol direct the puulic attention to the following facts:— The eucalyptus oil is recorded to' be of value as a medicament in cases of rheumatism of secondary nature; and manifests a drawing', blistering effect upon the skin. Any blistering brought on by the ap-; plication of a medicament must iuereastf inflamafcion, and it is therefore evident that in cases of wounds, colds, bronchitis, diptheria, croup, sprains &e.; the curative power of our extract on the named diseases being unquestionably proved by former publications id this paper. An application o ; f the oil instead of our extract must impair tile' diseased. The truth of out assertion' is foimded upon the fact £h'at the Oil is a resinous" product equivalent to com'moto tu'rpen- : tine, its market value being about three shillings one pound -weight; ovir extract consists of the evaporating particles of the gurd leaves, soothing and healing in its effects, its price being twenty-four shillings for one pound weight. Our extract, the genuine, article, is only made up in one half ounce and one ounce vials ; vials bearing on the labels oar trade mark and signature.
