An application of the oil instead of out extract must impair thd diseased.' . • The truth of bur assertion.is founded j upon the fact that the oil is a resinous product equivalent to common turpentine, its market value being about three shillings one pound weight; our extract consists of the evaporating particles of the gum leaves, soothing and healing in its effects, its price being twenty-four shillings for one pound weight.
