So far as the committing of imposition against tlie public in such a Case is concenied, the consequences would nbt tie serihus ; but as! the qualities of both of the products are in many cases directly opposed to oiife* another, we consider it our duty to' direct the public attention to th‘e‘following facts :—i , The eucalyptus oil is recorded to tid of value as a medicament in caseta ol rheumatism of secondary nature, and manifests a drawing; blistering effect upon the skin. Any blistering brought ort by the application of a medicafnent must increase incarnation', and it is therefore evident that in cases of wounds,, (iolds, bronchitis, diptheria, croup, sprains dec.; the curative power of our extratt on the named : diseases being, unquestionably prbved by fernim publications in this paper. An application of the oil instead of dxii extract must impair the diseased. The truth ofoUrasserticu is founded upon the fact that the oil is' a resinous product equivalent to common turpentine, its market value being about three one pound weight; oifr extract consists Of the evaporating particles of the gntti leaves, soothing and healing in its effects, its price being twenty-four shillings for .one pound weight. ~ Qur extract, the genuine' article, is only made Up in one half ounce and one ounce vials ; vials bearing on the labels otfr trade mark and signature; . , SANDER aM Sole Manufacturers of the Eucalyptus Extract.- ’ Sandhurst, November,-1878; ! At this junction Mr Raabe' called oh Messrs Sander and Sons, procuring some of their Extract of the Eucalyptus Globulus, and by the apI plication of the same he had the satisfaction of seeing his son within a fort-' night out of all danger, and he has now quite recovered.” Brief Extracts from the Bendigo Evening Ne'Ws . Mr Gieschin, residing near Sydenham Gardens,' had a very severe Cold in, November, could scarcely breathe, and could get no relief. Cured after three applications of the extract. The same gentleman suffered eight years from rupture, and all raediCaf skill proved ineffectual in giving relief Cured after taking extract internally for six months. A man having his arm bruised severely at a crashing machine, in Long Gully,- applied the extract, and the accident did- not even necessitate as much' as an interruption in his attendance at work. Mrs Weppner,- in Cofbinabbin (Runnymede) informed the manufacturers that the extract applied twice restored health to her daughter, eleven years of age,- who had beefl'rushed and trampled upon by a cow. In November Mrs Reeves, from the' Rifleman’s Arms,- Back Creek, brought information of a cure of delirium caused ■by sunstroke,- which took place in the' family of Mr Ryan, butcher, of Back' Creek. The wife of Mr Fickel suffered itf the, bend of the knee from a swelling which had formed a lump of Considerable size, disabling her from attending to' any work. She removed the swelling completely by a continued application of the extract. The Donald Times, of list Decembhfy 1877, state's r— Bast Week the eldest 1 boy of Mr Morgan awoke' in' the ufght Crying With earache.
