[new ZEALAND PRESS ASSOCIATION.] LATEST AUSTRALIAN NEWS. Sydney, Sept 22. A force of 200 artillery has been dispatched to' Newcastle. The official gazette announces that extreme measures will be adopted to prevent the intimidation of the miners. A reward is offered for the apprehension, of the offenders. Newcastle, Sept. 22. The Artillery have arrived. Affairs are quiet at present at the Waratah' and Lainptou mines.
