At the polling to-day on the licensing question, the majority was in favour of limiting the number of public houses, August 15. The Arawata sailed to-day with the Suez mail. ANOTHER BANK ROBBERY. Melbourne, August 15. The Lnncefield branch of the Commercial Bank of Australia was stuck up by two men when it first opened in the morning. -Morrison the accountant, was gagged and a local customer was locked up in the manager’s room j the manager was in the yard with four men during the robbery. The bank was robbed of .£665 sterling. The police do not think it was the Kelly gang. Black trackers are starting in pursuit. [special.] Sydney, August 15. The following are the particulars of the Laucefiold Bank robbery :—The accountant had barely opened the doors when the affair occurred. The manager was in the garden when two pel'sons suddenly entered and thrust a revolver into his face, and told him to bail up or he would he shot dead. Ho returned inside, and one of the bushrangers seized and gagged him, and sthey thou proceeded to search for coin, hut only got the loose cash, and immediately decamped. The police insht that it was Ned Kelly and Steve Hart, out this the accountant doubts.
