A NIHILIST OUTRAGE.
The Cologne Gazette gives the following account of one of the latest acts of violence . jierpetmted by the Nihilists. A short time ago, says the German paper, a merchant, Pavel. At 10 o’clock On the forenoon of May 2 he went out, and then for the first time determined to appeal to tne police for advice and assistance. Hardly, howpver, bad he arrived in the neighbourhood of the nearest police station, when he received a violent blow on the head with an iron bar, which struck him senseless to the ground.
