The Kumara Times. Published Every Evening. FRIDAY, AUGUST 1, 1879.

The entertainment to take place at the Theatre Royal this evening, on the occasion of the benefit of Mr Shultze, is one well worthy of public patronage. The choice and varied programme presented, coupled with the fact that the instrumental pieces alone will bo a rare musical treat, should be sufficient guarantee of a crowded house with those who can enjoy and appreciate a programme in which every item has by constant rehearsal attained that degree of proficiency that is as delightful to the audience as it is pleasant to the performer. We understand that the Hillman's Town Brass Band will play one their new marches through the town previously to the commencement of the concert.

The Post stated that one condition under which Bir Win. Pox was appointed leader of the Opposition is that, in the event of being called on to form a Ministry, none of his old colleagues shall he chosen. As far as the Lower House is concerned, the Ministry will, with one ex- | ception —himself -consist of men new to | oliice, namely—Pox, Johnson, Macf.ir- | lane, Stevens, Wakefield, Oliver, ami Hail in the Cpper House. !
