Gentlemen —ln presenting the annual Balance-Sheet for the Year ending the Ist day of July, 1879, we have to call your attention to the difficulties we had to contend with in order to classify the expenditure so as to obviate the appearance of sundries account therein such account hitherto having excited mistrust and dissatisfaction. We now have the pleasure to inform you that we have carefully examined all the vouchers connected with the expenditure and also the books except the blocks of the annual tickets such not being in possession of the Secretary. We also desire to call your intention to the promissory notes from patients in the Secretary’s care amounting in nominal value to over £IOO and suggest that some steps be taken to realise them.
