THE NEW RUSH AT WESTBROOK.
[TO THU EDITOR.] Sir—“A Miner” suggests, in this clan’s Argus, that the miners of Westbrook be allowed to do their Com t business at the Kumara Court House. The Argus agrees with him, and “ feels certain that the County Chairman and Mr Broad would willingly enter into any arrangement t)o meet ihe whiles of the miners if the subject was only represented to them." Therefore, it behoves the Westbrook mincra to takeim mediate steps for that purpose, whereby they will get rid of the inconvenience of a long journey to and from the Greenstone j and, instead of having only one Court day in a month (which would never suit the disputes likely to crop up on a new rush), they can have a Court once a week, at Kumara. A meeting ought to be called at once, either by the miners, or by Mr Foley (their the Council), and resolutions forn arded to the County Chairman and Mr Broad, as suggested in this day’s Argus.—l am, tkc., Another Miner. Westbrook, July 9th, 1879.
