A son of Mr J. B. Kerr, of Kingston, ten years of age, was accidentally drowked o Lake Wakatip on Monday, tne 19th instant. The poor little fellow was with his brothers in his father's boat, and when about twenty yards off the beaca he was in the act of recovering a little toy model that he had launched from the boat, when he lost his balance, and fell into the water. Not being •ble to swim, he sank immediately. His brother Johnny, aged twelve years, plunged in after him and aiso sank to the bottom ; when another little hero, named William Thomas, rushed into the lake, and extended an oar to Johnny, who seizid it, and was pulled out just in time. The bod - of James was not found till the following mornin g At the inquest the Coroner commended both J. Kerr and W. Thomas for their bravery.
