Christchurch, April 9. The privileges at the forthcoming Autumn Meeting were sold yesterday for £166 10s. 3
John Bell, assistant-shunter at Ashburton when the collision occurred there, and who was dismissed the service on that account, was brought up at the Police Court yesterday ou a charge of wilfully neglecting to close the points of the main line. He was remanded to Ashburton.
