Christchurch, April 1. A man named Scott was arrested on Sunday on a charge of burglary at the Crown Hotel, Amberely. The landlord, who had frequently missed money and goods, watched himself in the bar on Saturday night, and about 4 a.m. Scott entered the bar by a trap door, and carefully examined the till. The landlord seized him, and called in Constable Watt, who took him to the station. Scott was sentenced to 12 mouths hard labor.
