We are informed that dealers in medicine often try to sell the tus oil found in the trade instead of our Euclyptus Extract. So far as the committing of impositioh against the public in. such ia case is concerned, this consequences would not be serious; but as the qualities of both of the products are in many'cas'es directly opposed td one 1 another, we consider it our duty td direct the public attention to the fol l lowing facts:— The eucalyptus dil is recorded to" b 6 of valiie as a medicament in cases of rheumatism df secondary natiire, and manifests a drawing, blistering effect upon the skin. Any blistering brought ori by the ap£ plication of a medicament must increase infiamatioh, and it is therefore evident that in cases of wounds, colds, bron : chitis, dipttieria, croup, strains &c.j the curative power of our extract ori the named diseases being unquestionably proved by former publications iti this paper. An application of the oil instead of our extract must impair the diseased. The truth of oilr assertion is founded upon the fact that the oil is a resinous product equivalent to common turpen* tine, its market value being about three shillings one pdund weight j our exi tract consists df the evapdrating particle's of the glim leaves, soothing | and healing in its effects, its price being tweuty-four shillings for one pound. weight; Our extract; the genuine article; is dnly made up in one half ounce and one ounce vials j vials bear l ing on the labels oilr trade mark and signature; SANDER and SONS; Sole Manufa* turers of the Eucalyptus Extract: Sandhurst, November, 1878; DUNCAN M'LEANi Wholesale Agent for New Zealand: The Extract of the Eucalyptus Globus lus, manufactured solely by Messrs Sander and Sons, Sandhurst, reborn l mends itself by .the.'following declaim tiori and testimonials : .
