THE KELLY GANG.
[special.] Sydney, February 11. The Kelly gang made a sudden descent upon the town of Jcrilderie, near Wagga Waggn, and succeeded in surrounding and surprising the police, whom they incarcerated in the lock-up, taking aWay all arms, ammunition, horses, artd saddles. They next attacked the Bank of New South Wales, taking away £2OOO in gold and destroying all deeds and other documents in posse-sion of the bank. They then seized the Telegraph Office, cutting the wires and shutting up the operators with the police and bank officials in the town lock up, threatning the operator if he attempted to restore communication. They all remained imprisoned for two whole days. Subsequently they were released, and intimation was sent to the next police station. The Kellys displayed the coolest aiidacity ] in police uniform they then paraded the streets and bailed up an hotel, but harmed no one* A strong force of police are now in hot pursuit*
