RULE® AND REGULATIONS; 1. Night of General Latry,- Saturday, loth March, 1879 2. All nominations and acceptances must be made ip writing and sent in sealed covers, addressed to the Secretary, Albion Hotel, Greymoutli, and contain entrance money, sweepstakes, description and age of horse’, srid colors to' be worn by the jockey 3. All stakes paid less 5 per cent. Three horses mn§t start for each race, or the public money will be witheld ; the Races will be rim under the Greyniouth Jockey Club Rules 4. No eptery will be received unless upon the distinct understanding that the decision of the Stewards or whoever they may appoint shall in all cases be final,- arid all law proceedings barred. 5. All entries for the Hack Race are to be made subject to the approval of the Stewards. G. All horses mris-t be ridden in colors 7. In the event of any person entering a protest, the sum of £2 2s must be lodged with the secretary before such protest is 1 considered ; this sum to be forfited should the Stewarts consider the protest frivilous or vexatious 8. AH parties entering a horsehnust pay the sum pf £2 2s to the Race Fund in order to qualify themselves, entries for the Novel arid Hack Races only being excepted 9. In all handicaps three hofsefe must accept or the public money will be with held JAMES PAYNE, Secretary.
