In consequence of the inclemency .of the weather hist evening, the entertainment at the Theatre Royal was postponed until to-night, when it will positively take place. The gifts, wliich are all of a bona tide character, will be distributed at the conclusion of the performance, the chief prize being a handsome Waltham silver hunting watch.

By an advertisement that appears in this issue it will be seen that the remainder of Mr Brown’s stock will be sold by auction on Saturday next. Although -the auctioneer has on the last two occasions started punctually to time, the lines offered have been so large and numerous that it was found impossible to submit the whole in one day, and lie has consequently been compelled to hold a sale weekly until the whole of the stock-in-trade is disposed of. Mr W. Wxllway having sold his plant and interest in the Dyking Business to Mr R. Upjohn (who has become practically acquainted with the trade), begs to solicit the kind patronage hitherto afforded him to his successor.—Mrs Upjohn announces that she is prepared to clean and dye hats, feathers, gloves, &c., in the best style.
