Wellington* January 30. The cases of Miss Jones, late matron of the Wellington College, against Wilson, the., principal, caipe on to-slay. The first was for wrongful detention ot letters, photographs, <kc. In this case, judgment was given for £SO, to be reduced to £1 and costs on defendant at once giving up the articles claimed. The second case was for. wages due, and,- inlieuof notice,.,damages, £24. Defendant paid £6 into Court. Plaintiff in this Case swore positively to Wilson having, on several occasions, made improper overtimes,ftp he|r. * The; plaintiff was severely cross-examined as to her relations with other, men, as discovered by her letters, and medical men, were examined to shbw'she was of unsound mind. Defendant positively denied improper overture's. Judgment was given for plaintiff for £9 with costa. "
