Christchurch, January 18. A new harbor light at the corner of the eastern breakwater, Lyttelton, is now in the course of erection.
The Health Officer points to the fact that there are more than 1000 cesspits in Christchurch, which are, to a certain extent responsible for infectious diseases.

The first consignment of this season’s grain arrived from Southbridge yesterday. A deputation waited on the Hon. S.
