SEDDON-STREET PRIVAVE SCHOOL.

The annual examination of this school, of which Mrs Williams is the able proprietress, was held last week by the ;Rey v E.. A. Scott,*the^Rev.Father M'Caughey, and Messrs Phillips and Munyard. The children throughout all the classes by their, answers to the ex-’ aminers proved conclusively that great trouble had been taken m their tuition, and that the primary ground work of a good education had been thoroughly instilled into their minds. General satisfaction was expressed by the committee at the order and demeanour of the children present, reflecting as it did the greatest credit on their instructress Mrs Williams, and also on her assistant teacher Miss Galland. At the conclusion of the examination the Rev. E. A. Scott distributed prizes to the following pupils, at the same time addressing a few words to each of the recipients : Music. Ist prize, Elizabeth George ; 2nd prize, Florence Ada Skilton; 3rd prize, Mary Hannan ; 4th prise, Ellen Enright. ' Drawing. ‘ Ist prize, Alice Rugg; 2nd prize, M. J. Connolly. , General Proficiency.
