The British have entered Baka, south of Molan, and are marching on Jellalabad, which is stated to have been evacuated. The population is friendly to the British, and refusing succour to the defeated troops. The Continental Press is rejoicing at the British successes. The Liberal leaders deny that the former Government is responsible for the Afghan war. Bucharest, November 25. The Romanians have occupied the Dobrudscha, the Russian Government waiving their demands for a permannent right-of-way through the territory. LATEST UNPUBLISHED. MORE MASSACRES IN NEW CALEDONIA. Sydney, November 27. The latest news from New Caledonia states that a terrible massacre of eleven ’white people has taken place at the mouth of the River Poya. The parly were engaged in the carriage of provisions to the troops. Their bodies were found cut up and cooked. Sailors are searching the river, and the party were fired upon by the rebels. A further massacre is reported, but particulars are wanted. A large number of troops have arrived at Noumea during the month.
