Under 'the ‘distinguished patronage of his Majesty 'the King of Italy, at Rome, according to communication received from the GoUfenl-Greneral for Italy, at Melbourne, upon instructions from the Minister for Foreign Affairs, •elated 14th March, 1878. The Extract of the Eucalyptus Globulus, manufactured solely by Messrs Sander and Sons, Sandhurst, recommends itself by the following declaration and testimonials;—
Epitome of declaration made before Moritz Cohn, J.P., on the 17th October, 1877,- at Sandhurst:—“ Three medical .gentlemen had attended the son of Mr Raabe, of Ironbark, for nine weeks, and ‘declared that amputation of the leg injured by an axe was absolutely necessary. At • this junction Mr Raabe ’called on Messrs Sander and Sons, procuring some of their Extract of the Eucalyptus Globulus, and by the application of the same he had the satisfaction of seeing his son within a fortflight out of all danger, and lie has now •quite recovered.”
Sandhurst, 2nd October, 1877. I Certify that I have used Mr Sander’s •extract of the Eucalyptus Globulus in •all affections of the throat, inflammation, bronchitis, rheumatic swellings, in--flammationofthe breast after confinement, toothache, and diarrhoea, and can strongly recommend it. in all cases as •stated above. Brief Extracts from the Bendigo Evening News;— Mr Gieschin, residing near Sydenham Gardens, had a very severe cold dn November, could scarcely breathe, ■and could get no relief. Cured after three applications of the extract. The same' 1 gentleman suffered eight years from rupture, and all medical skill proved ineffectual in giving relief. Cured after taking extract internally ■'for six months. Mr D. 0 berm ana, residing near the Sandhurst Gasworks, suffering from wounds for six months, was cured by the use of the extiact within four 'weeks. A man having his arm bruised -‘severely at a crushing machine, in Long Gvflly, applied the extract, and the accident did not even necessitate as much ; as;ftn-interruption in hie attendance at ’work.
Mrs Weppner, in Colbinabbiu informed the manufacturers that the extract applied twice restored health to her daughter, eleven years of age, who had been rushed and 'trampled upon by a. cow. In November Mrs Keeves, from the Rifleman’s Aims, Back Creek, brought information of a cure of delirium caused by sunstroke, which took place in the family of Mr Ryan, butcher, of Back Creek. The wife of Mr Fickel suffered in ■the bend of the knee from a swelling which had formed a lump of considerable size, disabling her from attending to any work.' She removed the swell* ing completely by a eon tinned application of the extract. The Donald Times, of Ist December, 1877, states Last week the eldest boy of Mr Morgan awoke in the night trying with earache. The extract was applied, and the little fellow was cured and asleep in ten minutes. Mr French, of Ooorack station, suf- 1 ferred from bad earache and pains in the head. Two drops of the extract were put in the ear and some rubbed round the ear, and the pain instantly disappeared. Mr Croker, at Mount Jeffcott, was kicj up nearly a fortnight with inflammation pf the eyes, and was in great agony. The extract was used, ami in a few days the inflammation disappeared. The Evening; Times has reported dures'pf; neuralgia, by the use of the extract, at Geelong. The extras, which is of a brilliant yellow gold color, -and need not be confounded with, the tnrpentine-like preparation of the gum that is to be found m; the trade, has been applied, with marked beneficial effect, tosevere sprains, all sorts of wounds, cuts, scaldings, and •its: chief property— : namely, to check all inflammation—accounts for the cures referred to.
