KUMARA PROSPECTING ASSOCIATION.

The members of the above Association met at the Town Hall last evening.Present: Messrs Dungah (in the chair);O'Hara-, and Wylde. The minutes of the last meeting Were' read and confirmed. - ?

Sir—We have to report to you that from' the 11th to the 14th inst., only tW men : were employed ; their"' employment; consisted of slabbing up shaft and gettingtimber for future last-named date we art extra' man, and we' have all been ; engaged at' our shaft till $e have reached' the depth' of 3fe'feet: For the last'seven" feet the' sinking has been very' hardj owing to' boulders, &c, which we had to blast, consequently it greatly impeded bur work in the matter of sinkings We have as yet encountered no' water, which; if w<| do' not, we trust; iji" next, report to have to.' record something, sir, &e:, 7 . ',: —Tr-n — r~- —: ,\ •> The Secretary (Mr \7ylde) reported having rendered an account amounting to £24,-.up to November 9th, "to the Governments The chairman reported having paid *all accouuts passed at the last irieeting, .amounting to £ll ss, aud £8 5s for a "fortnight's wages ending Novenibor t 23rd'; and alsd that he had paid the 'sum of £3 16s for subscription into the Bank. It was resolved that the prospectors jbe provided with a necessary supply of Wasting powder, and fuse. The meeting then adjourned for a fortnight.
