SANDER AND SONS' UCALYPTI EXTRACT! Under the distinguished patronage of his Majesty the King of Italy, Ht Rome, according to communication received from the Consul-General for Italy, at Melbourne, upon instructions from the Minister for Foreign Affairs, dated Uth March, 1878. The Extract of the Eucalyptus Globulus, manufactured solely by Messrs Sander and Sons, Sandhurst, rpcommends itself by the following declaration and testimonials:— Epitome of declaration made before Morite Cohn, J.P., on the 17th October, 1877, at Sandhurst:—" Three medical gentlemen had attended the son of Mr Raabe, of Ironbatk, for nine weeks, and declared that amputation of the leg injured by an axe was absolutely necesBary. At this junction Mr Raabe called on Messrs Sander and Sons, procuring some of their Extract of the Eucalyptus Globulus, and by the application of the same he had the satisfaction of seeing his son within a fortnight out of all danger, and he has now quite recovered." Sandhurst, 2nd October, 1877. I certify that I have used Mr Sander's extract'of the Eucalyptus Globulus in alLaffections of the throat, inflammation, bronchitis, rheumatic swellings, inflammation of the breast after confinement; toothache, and diarrhoea, and can strongly recommend it in all cases as stated-above.; Signed, John Ckuickshank, M.D.E.,L.R.C.5.E., Health Officer, 4th October, 1877. Brief Extracts from the Bencligo Evening News:— Mr Giescbin, residing near Sydenham Gardens, had a very severe cold in November, could scarcely breathe, and could get no relief. Cured after three applications of the extract. The same gentleman suffered eight years from rupture, and all medical skill proved ineffectual in giving relief. Cured after caking extract internally for six months. Mr D. Obermann, residing near the Sandhurst Gasworks, suffering from wpundß for six months, was cured by the use of the extract within four weeks. A man having his arm bruised severely ; at a crushing machine, in Long Gully, applied the extract, and the accident did not even necessitate as much as an, interruption in his attendance at work. Mrs , Weppner, in Colbinabbin (Kuniiyinede) informed the manufacturera that the extract applied twice restored health to her daughter, eleven years of age, who had been rushed and trampled upon by. a cow. In November Mrs Reeves, from the Rifleman's Aims, Back Creek, brought information of a cure of delirium caused by; sunstroke, which took place in the family of Mr Ryan, butcher, of Back Creek.. The wife of Mr Fickel suffered in I the bend of the knee from a 1 swelling! which had formed a lump of consider- j able size, disabling her from attending ! to any work. She removed the swell- i ing completely by a continued applica- j tion of the extract. ! The Donald Times, of Ist December, ' 1877-, states:— Last week the eldest' boy of Mr Morgan awoke in the night crying with earache. The extract was applied, and the little fellow was cured -and asleep in ten minutes. Mr French, of Coorack station, sufferred from bad earache and pains in the head. Two drops of the extract were put in the ear and some rubbed round, the ear, and the pain instantly! disappeared. Mr Croker, at Mount Jeffcott, was i laid up nearly a fortnight with inflammation of the eyes, and was in great agony. The extract was used, and in a few days the inflammation <iis'ppeured. The Evening Times has reported: oures of neuralgia, by die use of ! extract, at Geelong. ; .The extract, which is of a brilliant! yellow gold color, and need not be con-1 founded with the turpentine-like. preparation of the gum that is to be found ! in .the, trade,, has been applied, with! markedbenenciaieffecfc, to se.vere sprains, j »H sorts of wounds, cuts, scaldings, and xts .chief property—namely, to check all j inflammation—accounts for the cures, referred to.
