SANDER AND SONS’ XQUCALYPTI EXTRACT! Under the distinguished patronage of his Majesty the King of Italy, \t Rome, according to communication received from the Consul-General for Italy, at Melbourne, upon instructions from the Minister for Foreign Affairs, dated 14th March, 1878. The Extract of the Eucalyptus Globulus, manufactured solely by Messrs Sander and Sous, Sandhurst, recommends itself by the following declaration and testimonials : Epitome of declaration made before Moritz Cohn, J.P., on the 17th October, 1877, at Sandhurst:—“ Three medical gentlemen had attended the son of Mr Raabe, ol Ironbark, fur nine weeks, and declared that amputation of the leg injured by an axe was absolutely necessary. At this junction Mr Raabe called on Messrs Sander and Sons, procuring some of their Extract of the Eucalyptus Globulus, and by the application of the same he had the satisfaction of seeing his son within a fortnight out of all danger, and he has now quite recovered.” Sandhurst, 2nd October, 1877. I certify that I have used Mr Sander’s extract of the Eucalyptus Globulus in all. affections of the throat, inflammation, bronchitis, rheumatic swellings, inflammation of the breast after confinement, toothache, and diarrhoea, and can strongly recommend it in all cases as stated above. Brief Extracts from the Bendigo Evening News : residing near Sydenhad a very severe cold in NpVhmber, could scarcely breathe and could get no relief. Cured afte three applications of the extract. The same gentleman suffered eigh years from rupture, and all ruedica skill proved ineffectual in giving rebel Cured after caking extract internal! for six mouths. Mr D. Obermann, residing near th Sandhurst Gasworks, suffering fron wounds fo' - six months, was cured b; the use of the extiact within foil weeks. A man having his arm bruise( severely at a crushing machine, in Long Gully, applied the extract, and the ac cident did not even necessitate as much as an interruption in his attendance at work. Mrs Weppner, in Colbinabbin (Ruunymede) informed the manufacturers that the extract applied twice testored health to her daughter, eleven years of age, who had been rushed and trampled upon by a cow. In November Mrs Reeves, from the Rifleman’s Arms, Back Creek, brought information of a cure of delirium causec by sunstroke, which took place in the family of Mr Ryan, butcher, of Baci Creek. The wife of Mr Fickel suffered ii the bend of the kuee from a swelling which had formed a lump of consider able size, disabling her from attending to any work. She removed the swell ing completely by a continued applica tion of the extract. The Donald Times, of Ist December 1877, states Last week the eldest boy of Mr Morgan awoke in the night crying with earache. The extract was applied, and the little fellow was cured and asleep in ten minutes. I Mr French, of (Joorack station, suf-1 ferred from bad earache and pains in' the head. Two drops of the extract were put, in the ear and some rubbed round the ear, and the pain instantly disappeared. Mr Croker, at Mount Jeffcott, was laid up nearly a fortnight with inflammation of the eyes, and was in great agony. The extract was used, and in a few days the inflammation disappeared. The Evening Times has reported cures of neuralgia, by the use of the extract, at Geelong. The extract, which is of a biilliant yellow gold color, and need not be confounded with the turpentine-like preparation of the gum that is to be found in the trade, has been applied, with marked beneficial effect, tosi-vere sprains, all sorts of wounds, cuts, scaldings, and its chief property—namely, to cln ckall inflammation—accounts for the cures referred to.
