SANDER AND SONS' UCALYPTI EXTRACT ! Under the distinguished patronage of his Majesty the King of Italy, at Rome, according to communication received from the Consul-General for Italy, at Melbourne, upon instructions •from the Minister for Foreign Affairs, dated 14th March, 1878. j The Extract of the Eucalyptus Globulus, manufactured solely by Messrs Sander and Sons, Sandhurst, recommends itself by the following declaration and testimonials:— Epitome of declaration made before -Moritz Cohn, J.P., on the 17th October, J 1877, at Sandhurst:—" Three medical I gentlemen had attended the sou of Mr j Raabe, of Ironbark, for nine weeks, and "declared that amputation of the leg injured by an axe was absolutely necessary. At this junction Mr Raabe ■ called on Messrs Sauder and Sons, procuring some of their Extract of the Eucalyptus Globulus, and by the application of the same he had the satisfaction of seeing his son within a fortnight out of all danger, and he has now \ 'quite recovered." j Sandhurst, 2nd October, 1877. j I certify that I have used Mr Sander's •extract of the Eucalyptus Globulus in all affections of the throat, inflamma-) tion, bronchitis, rheumatic swellings, in- ! flammation of the breast after conflnement, toothache, and diarrhoea, and can strongly recommend it in all cases as stated above. Brief Extracts from the Bendigo j News : j Mr Gieschin, residing near Syden- i iam Gardens, had a very severe cold j -in November, could scarcely breathe, j •and could get uo relief. Cured after ] three applications of the extract. ! The saiiue gentleman suffered eight years from rupture, and all medical skill proved ineffectual in giving relief, j "Cured after taking extract internally for six months. Mr D. Obermann, residing near the •Sandhurst Gasworks, suffering from wounds ; for six months, was cured by the use of the exttact within four weeks. A man having his arm bruised 'severely at a crushing machine, in Long Gully, applied the extract, and the accident did not even necessitate as much as an interruption in his attendance at work. Mrs Weppner, in Colbinabbin '(Runnyinede) informed the manufacturers that the extract applied twice restored health to her daughter, eleven years of age, who had been rushed and trampled upon by a cow. In November Mrs Reeves, from the Rifleman's Arms, Back Creek, brought information of a cure of delirium caused by sunstroke, which took place in the I family of Mr Ryan, butcher, of Back j Creek. \ The wife of Mr Fickel suffered in i the bend of the knee from a swelling j which had formed a lump of considerable size, disabling her from attending \ to any work. She removed the swell- j ing completely by a continued applica- j tion of the extract. The Donald Times, of Ist December, i 1877, states : Last week the eldest j boy of Mr Morgan awoke in the night j crying with earache. The extract was | applied, and the little fellow was cured | and asleep in ten minutes. ! Mr French, of Coorack station, suf-1 ferred from bad earache and pains in | the head. Two drops of the extract were put in the ear and some rubbed round the ear, aud the pain instantly disappeared. Mr Croker, at Mount Jeffcott, was laid tip nearly a fortnight with inflammation of the eyes, and was in great agony. The extract was used, and in a few days the inflammation disappeared. The Evening Times has reported cures of neuralgia, by the use of it*, extract,' at Geelong. The extract, which is of a brilliant yellow gold color, and need not be confounded with the turpentine-like preparation of the gum that is to be found in the trade, has been applied, with marked beneficial effect, to severe sprains, all softs' of wounds, cuts, scaldings, and its chief property —namely, to check all inflammation—accounts for the cures referred to. .
