A meeting of the Prospecting Association was 1)eld at the Town Hall last; " evening. Present: Messrs.. Dungan (chair), O' Hara, and Pearn.

had consented to resume collecting subscriptions. It was moved by Mr Dungan, and seconded by Mr O'Hara, "That the prospectors be instructed to continue operations between Dillman's Town and the Chriatehurch road unlil further orderß." The following letter spnt by the secretary (Mr Wylde) to Mr Peters at Dillman's Town was read and approved of:— To Mr Peters. Sir—-I return you herewith the subscription list for prospecting for the main bottom at Dillman's. The Kumara Prospecting Association regrets that their arrangement with the Government precludes them from assisting to prospect on the existing goldfields.—l am, &c., James Wylde, Hon! Sec. K.P.A. Kumara, 14th October, 1878. The meeting then terminated.
