This was carried on a division, and the clause as amended agreed to. In clause 16, Mr Miller moved the insertion of the word “ male” between “ every” and “ personal loss” in clause 18. Mr Waterhouse moved the insertion in the sixth line of the following words, “ his name enrolled on ratepayers roll in force in district for which he claims to .vote,” which was carried. Mr Waterhouse moved that subsections A and B be struck out, which was carried on the voices, and the clause as amended then passed. --v, ;
