[press AGENCY.] Auckland, October 15, The outward mail steamer Zealandia went ashore off St. George’s Bay in going out on her way to ’Frisco. The tide is rising, but she is not yet off. Dunedin, October 15. The Public Works Department are taking steps in connection with the Survey Department to have a complete record made of the flood levels throughout the Middle Island. • The South Dunedin Council have expressed themselves in favor of the introduction of street tramways in that borough. The East Taieri Hotel was destroyed by fire last night. The building was insured in the Standard Office for £250, and the furniture and stock for £2OO in the Victoria and £3OO in the Standard. Otaki, October 15. A party of Europeans and Natives are searching the beach, but have not found any of the bodies of those drowned,, when leaving the - wreck of the Felix Stowe. The vessel has slightly changed her position. The second officer and crew are living aboard. The main topmast is sprung, but in other respects the vessel appears to be uninjured, and is likely with assistance to be easily floated. “
