SANDER AND SONS’ EUCALYPTI EXTRACT ! Under the distinguished patronage of his Majesty the King of Italy, at Rome, according to communication j received from the Consul-General foT. Italy, at Melbourne, upon instructions 'from the Minister for Foreign Affairs, dated 14th March, 1878. The Extract of the Eucalyptus Globulus, manufactured solely by Messrs Sander and Sons, Sandhurst, recommends itself by the following declaration and testimonials : Epitome of declaration made before Moritz Cohn, J.P., on the 17th October, 1877, at Sandhurst:—“ Three medical gentlemen had attended the son -of Mr Eaabe, of Ironbark, for nine weeks, and declared that amputation of the leg injured by an axe was absolutely necessary. At this junction Mr Eaabe called On Messrs Sander and Sons, procuring some of their Extract of the Eucalyptus Globulus, and by the application of the same he had the satisfaction of seeing his son within a fortnight out of all danger, and he has now quite recovered;” Sandhurst, 2nd October, 1877. I certify that I have used Mr Sander’s i extract of the Eucalyptus Globulus in j all affections of the throat, infiamrna- ! tion, bronchitis, rheumatic swellings, in- j fiammation of the breast after coniine- ; ment, toothache, and diarrhoea, and can | strongly recommend it in all cases as | stated above. [ Brief Extracts from the Bendigo Evening News i Mr Gieschin, residing near Sydenham Gardens, had a very severe cold in November, could scarcely breathe, and could get no relief. Cured after I three applications of the extract. i The same gentleman suffered eight years from rupture, and all medical j skill proved ineffectual in giving relief. , Cufed after caking extract internally for six mouths. Mr D. Oberraann, residing near the Sandhurst Gasworks, suffering from wounds for six months, was cured by the use of the extiact within four weeks. A man having his arm bruised severely at a crushing machine, in Long Gully, applied the extract, and the accident did not even necessitate as much as an interruption in his attendance at work. Mrs Weppuer, in Colbinabbin (Eunnymede) informed the manufacturers that the extract applied twice restored health to her daughter, eleven years of age, who hud been rushed and trampled upon by a cow. In November Mi s Reeves, from the Eifleman’s Arms, Back Creek, brought information of a cure of delirium caused by sunstroke, which took place in the family of Mr Evan, butcher, of Back Creek; The wife of Mr Fickel suffered in the bend of the knee from a swelling which had formed a lump of considerable size, disabling her from attending to any work. She removed the swelling completely by a continued application of the extract. The Donald Times, of Ist December, 1877, states Last week the eldest boy of Mr Morgan awoke in the night crying with earache.' The extract was applied, and the little fellow was cured and asleep in ten minutes. Mr French, of Coorack station, sufferred from bad earache and pains in the head. Two drops of the extract wetfe put in the ear and some rubbed round the ear, and the pain instantly disappeared. Mr Croker, at Mount Jeffcott, was laid up nearly a fortnight with inflammation of the eyes, and was in great agony, 'The extract was used, and in a fet\ ■days the inflammation disappeared. The Evening Times has reporter cures of neuralgia, by the use of tin extract, at Geelong, The extract, which is of a biillian gold color, and need not be con .founded with the turpentine-like pre .paration of the gum that is to be fount in the trade, has been applied, will ‘markedbeneficial effect, tosevere sprains ■all sorts of wounds, cuts, scald mgs, am •its chief property —namely, to clockal • ■ inflammation—accounts for the cure referred’ to.
