The Telegraphic Department has just received from Port Darwin a cable communication stating that the cable was partially restored during the night, but is now temporarily interrupted by the ships repairing. ' ' The despatch steamer Baron M‘Eay left Banjowangi for Port Darwin on Saturday the 6th, with telegrams, arid may be expected here to-night.
