Mr Sutton moved that all portions of I Hansard affecting the Maori race should I be translated. I Mr Stevens wished the whole of ! Hansard to be translated. ' j Mr Sheenan opposed the full translation on the ground of expense. Mr Taiaroa supported Mr Sutton’s 1 motion as having the approval of the 1 Maori members. The subject was referred to the Reporting Debates Committee. The incorporation of Camphell’sTown Bill was read a second time. j The adjourned debate on the question :
of re-adjustment of representation during the present session was continued. Sir.R. Douglas asked the Government to bring down a series of resolutions embodying the principles of re-ad-, justment. Mr Stout said if the present resolution was carried the Government would consider that the House approved of the principle of representation wholly upon the basis of population. The debate was interrupted by. 5.30. September 26. The House resumed at 7.30 last night on the debate on the re-adjust-ment of representation. An amendment by Mr Wason was negatived by 40 against 14.
