SANDER AND SONS' EXTRACT! Under the distinguished patronage of his Majesty the King of Italy, at Rome, according to communication received from the Consul-General for Italy, at Melbourne, upon instructions from the Minister for Foreign Affairs, dated 14th March, 1878. ■ The Extract of the Eucalyptus Globulus, manufactured solely by Messrs Sander and Spns, Sandhurst, recommends itself by the following declaration and testimonials:— Epitome of declaration made before Moritz Cohn, J.P., on the lfth October, 1877, at •.Sandhurst-.—"'Three medical gentlemen had attended the son of Mr Kaabe, of Ironhat-k, for nine weeks, and declared that amputation of the leg injured by an axe was absolutely necessary; At this junciion Mr Kaabe called on Messrs Sander and Sons, procuring some of their Extract of the Eucalyptus Globulus, and by the application of the same he had the satisfaction ot seeing his son within a fortnight put of all he has now quite recovered." Sandhurst, 2nd October, 1877. I certify that I have used Mr Sander's extract of the Eucalyptus Globulus in all affections of the throat, inflammation, bronchitis, rheumatic swellings, inflammation of the breast after confinement, toothache, and diarrhoea, and can strongly recommend it in all cases as stated above. '"'Brief Extracts from the Bendigo Evening News : - ' v/Mr, residing near Sydenham Gardens, had a very severe cold in November, could scarcely breathe, and could- get no relief. Mrs Weppner, in Colbinabbin * (<Runnymede) informed the manufacturers that the extract applied twice restored health to her daughter, eleven years of age, who had been rushed and trampled upon by a cow. In November Mrs Reeves, from the Kifleman'B Amis, Back Creek, brought information of a cure Of delirium cawed by sunstroke, which took place in the family of Mr Ryan, butcher, of Back Creek. The wife of Mr Fickel suffered in the bend of the knee from a swelling which had formed a lump of considerable size, disabling her from attending to "any work. She removed the swelling completely by a continued applica-tion-of.thfi'extract. -;The Donald Times, of Ist December, 1877, states:—Last week the eldest boy of Mr Morgan awoke in the night crying with earache. The extract was ' applied, and the little fellow was cured hiM asleep in ten minutes. JMr French, of Coorack station, sufferred from bad earache and pains in the head. Two drops of the extract were put in the ear and some rubbed round the ear, and the pain instantly disappeai"ed. Mr Cioker, at Mount Jeffcott, was laid up nearly a fortnight with inflammation of the eyes, and was in great agony. The extract was used, and in a few days .the inflammation disappeared. The Evening Times has reported cures of neuralgia, by the use of thfe extract, at Geelong. The extract, which is of a brilliant yellow gold color, and need not be confounded with the turpentine-like preparation of the gum that is to be found in the trade, has been applied, with marked beneficial effect, to severe sprains, all sorts of wounds, cut«, scaldings, and its chief property —namely, to check all inflammation—accounts for the cure* referred to. An equally important ' quality of the extract is its efficacy as t disinfectant.
