CANCELLATION OF EDUCATION RESERVE.

[to the editor,] Sir—X have this morning received the following very satisfactory communication from Mr Barif, to whom was entrusted the presentation of the petition to the House of Representatives praying that the Education Reserve might be cancelled : “ The petition re Education Reserve I duly presented, lb has been sent to the Ghldfields. Committee, of which I am a member, and I have every reason to anticipate a favorable report. As soon as the report is brought up, I shall take further action.” I hive also received from Mr Price, who is one of the School, Commissioners, an assurance of his hearty support to the movement.—l ara, &c., JAMES WYLDE, Hon.
