SANDER AND SONS’ XnUCALYPI'I EXTRACT! Under the distinguished patronage of his Majesty the King of Italy, at Rome, according to communication received from the Consul-General for Italy, at Melbourne, npon instructions I from the Minister for Foreign Affairs, I dated 14th March, 1878. i The Extract of the Eucalyptus Globu-1 lus, manufactured solely by Messrs | Sander and Sons, Sandhurst, recommends itself by the following declaration and testimonials:— Epitome of declaration made before Moritz Cohn, J.P., on the 17 th October, 1877, at Sandhurst:—“ Three medical gentlemen had attended the son of Mr Raabe, of Ironbark, for nine weeks, and declared that amputation of the leg injured by an axe was absolutely necessary. At this junction Mr Eaabe called on Messrs Sander and Sons, procuring some of their Extract of the Eucalyptus Globulus, and by the application of the same he had the satisfaction of seeing his son within a fortnight out of all danger, and he has now quite recovered.” Sandhurst, 2nd October, 1877. I certify that I have used Mr Sander’s extract of the Eucalyptus Globulus in ail affections of the throat, inflammation, bronchitis, rheumatic swellings, inflammation of the breast after confinement, toothache, and diarrhoea, and can strongly recommend it in all cases as stated above. Brief Extracts from the Bendigo I Evening News ;■— 1 Mr Gieschin, residing near Sydenham Gardens, had a very severe cold in. November, could scarcely breathe, and could get uo relief. Cured after three applications of the extract. The same gentleman suffered eight years from rupture, and all medical skill proved ineffectual in giving relief. Cured after caking extract internally for sixmonths. Mr- Pi Obemann, residing near the Sandhurst Gasworks, suffering from wounds ,for six months, was cured by the use of-the extract within four .weeks.’ ' ' A : man haying his arm bruised severely at a.crushing machine, in Long Gully, applied the extract, and the ac- | cident did not even necessitate as much as an interruption in his attendance at work. i Mrs’ Weppner, in Colbinabbin I (Runnymede) informed the manufacturers that the extract applied twice restored health to her daughter, eleven years of age, who had been rushed and 1 trampled’upon by a cow. In November Mrs Reeves, from the Rifleman’s Arms, Back Creek, brought information of a cure of delirium caused by sunstroke, which took place in the; -family of Mr Ryan, butcher, of Back Creek. The wife of Mr Pickel suffered in the bend of the knee from a swelling which had formed a lump of considerable size, disabling her from attending to any work. She removed the swelling completely by a continued application of the extract. The Donald Times, of Ist December, 1877, states Last week thb eldest boy of Mr Morgan awoke in the night crylpg w hh earache, The extract was appjied, and the little fellow was cured asleep in ten minutes. French, of Coorack station, suffered from bad earache and pains in the head. Two drops of the extract were put in the ear and some rubbed round the ear, and the pain instantly disappeared. Mr Croker, at Mount Jeffcott, was laid up nearly a fortnight with inflammation of and was in great agony. The extract, was used, and in a few days the inflammation disappeared. The Evening Times has reported cures of neuralgia, by the use of the extract, at Geelong. ■ The extract; which is of a brilliant yellow gold color, and need not be confounded with the turpentine-l ike preparation of the gum that is to be found itf'the trade, has been applied, with marked beneficial effect, to severe sprains, all sorts of wounds, cuts, scaldings, and its chief propeHy-—namely, to check all inflammation—accounts for the cures referred to.
