The minutes of the last meeting .were read and confirmed.
Letters to the Minister of Lands, Messrs Barff, George, Gisborne, Henry, and Woolcock, were read and approved of. Also that he had received £6 Is for the present week’s subscription, ending last night. It was resolved, on the motion of Mr Cuming, seconded by Mr Geany, “ That the Treasurer be authorized to pay the wages of the prospecting party next Saturday, the 17th of August.” The following accounts were passed for payment: Mr Anderson £1 Is, and the bellman, 10s. It was resolved that the next meeting of the Committee be held on Monday next, the 19th inst., and that thereafter the Committee meet every alternate Monday. It was also resolved that any member of the Committee who shall from this time be absent from three consecutive meetings, shall cease to be a member.
