AN EGG SHOOTER.
With a revolver in each boot-leg and a gallon of California whiskey under his hat, a miner was lounging in the street of Deadwood City, in the Black Hills, when a stranger happened to brush against him. Out came, the pistol from the right boot, and up -went the arm with a flourish. Now lock yer, everybody in this yer gulch; look at tne and crawl ? I'm WilcUCat Tip fiom Bear Gulch! Get out here, a half a dozen of yer, and form a line of battb, 'cause I can't hold this yer hammer much longer; so trot' em out!" Some one in the crowd fired a pistol in the air, and simultaneously a rotten egg struck Tif) between the eyes, "I'm murdered!" he yelled, dtopping his revolver, and falling heavily to the ground. In a moment he came to himself, and straitning up, remarked, plantively, " Boys let me see the calibre of the gun what shoots eggs."
