NOTICES OF MOTION, TO-MORROW. Cr. W. S. Hanna to move—That the fees to be paid by the keepers of slaughter-houses, under section 34 of the Slaughterhouses Act, 1377, shall be—for each head of large cattle, 3d ; and for each head of small cattle, one Cr. R. J. Seddon to move— That on and after the Ist day of July prox., the dog tax be collected by the Inspector of Nuisances, and’he be allowed 10 per cent, on the amount collected. Cr. R. J. Seddon to move— That the Borough Surveyor prepare plans and specifications, and call for tenders for forming 110 chains of footpath in Main street and Seddon street, viz., from Tui street to the north town belt, , and from Drummond’s corner to Fourth street. Cr. R. J. Seddon to move— . ’ That the Borough Surveyor prepare plans and specifications, and call for tenders for making a new culvert at Quinn’s Creek. Cr. R. J, Seddon to move— That the Borough Surveyor prepare plans and specifications, and call for tenders for forming Seddon street, from First Isreet to Fourth street, and for metaling the same for a width of 16ft in the centre. Cr. O’Hara to move— That the Borough Surveyor prepare plans and specifications, and call for tenders for forming a culvert at Drummond’s comer. Cr. O’Hara to move— That the Borough Surveyor be instructed to survey the ground selected for the use and enjoyment of * the inhabitants of the Borough, and to lay off a portion of it suitable for a pedestrian course, 300 yards in length ; also to lay off a road to the same. Cr. George to move— That the Borough Surveyor be instructed to make the necessary surveys, and prepare plans and estimate for supplying Main street and Seddon street with water from the Government, or Okuku races. Also, that application be made to the Government and to the Okuku Race Company, to ascertain on what terms they will supply water ; the Surveyor to first ascertain what quantity of water will be required.
