During the ensuing week I will address you at the various centres of population within the district. I will then fully explain my political views. In the meantime I will only say that, while prepared to give the policy enunciated by Sir George Grey, a g'-neral support, I will not pledge myself (if | elected) to blindly follow up any partij cular leaders, but will consider upon its merits every measure introduced into the House—whether by the Government, by the Opposition, or by independent members. On two points, however, I am prepared to declare myself.
