URE VOLATILE EXTRACT | OF THE 1 EUCALYPTUS GLOBULUS. The Extract of the Eucalyptus Globulus, manufactured solely by Messrs Sander and' Sons, Sandhurst, recommends itself by the following declaration and testimonials;— Epitome of declaration made before Moritz Cohn, J.P., on the 17th October, 1877, at Sandhurst :—“ Three medical gentlemen had attended the son of Mr Raabe, of Ironbark, for nine weeks, and declared that amputation of the leg injured by an axe was absolutely necessary. At this junction Mr Raabe called on Messrs Sander and Sons, procuring some of their Extract of the Eucalyptus Globulus, and by the application of the same he had the satisfaction of seeing his son within a fortnight out of all danger, and he has now quite recovered.” Sandhurst, 2nd October, 1877. I certify that I have used Mr Sander’s extract of the Eucalyptus Globulus in all affections of the throat, inflamma- : tibn, bronchitis, rheumatic swellings, inflammation of the breast after confinement, toothache, and diarrhoea, and can strongly recommend it in all cases as stated above. Signed, John Cruickshank, M.D. E., L. B. C. S. E., Health Officer, 4th October, 1877. I hereby certify that the above is the signature of Dr John Cruickshank, health officer for the City of Sandhurst, Victoria, (Signed) Alexander Bayne, Mayor. Brief Extracts from the Bendigo Evening News:— Mr Gieschin, residing near Sydenham Gardens, had a very severe cold , in November, could scarcely breathe, J and could get no relief. Obermann, residing near the ' Sandhurst Gasworks, suffering from wounds foe six months, was cured by 1 the use of the extiact within four ’ ■weeks. \ A man having his arm bruised severely at a crushing machine, in Long Gully, applied the extract, and the ac- ! oident did not. even necessitate as much | as an interruption in hlh attendance at ■work. [ 1 Mrs Weppner, in Colbinabbin i - (Runnymede) informed the mannfac- j 1 turers that the extract applied twice ! * restored health to her daughter, eleven I 1 years of age, who had been rushed and | trampled upon by a cow. I * In November Mrs Reeves, from the I 1 Rifleman’s'Arms, Back Creek, brought' * information of a cure of delirium caused j 1 by sunstroke, which took place in the i * family of Mr Evan, bntcher, of Back ' ( Creek. | ' The wife of Mr Fickel suffered in ; J the bend of the knee from a swelling which had formed a lump of consider- ' able size, disabling her from attending 1 to any work. She removed the swelling completely by a continued applica- : 1 tion of the extract, I * 1 The Donald Times, of Ist December, * 1877, states Last week the eldest boy of Mr Morgan awoke in the night crying with earache. The extract was ! c . applied, and the little fellow was cured I and asleep in ten minutes. i 1 Mr French, of Coorack station, suf- ■ * ferred from bad earache and pains in £ the • head. Two drops of the extract j 3 were put •in the ear and some rubbed round the ear, and the pain instantly j « disappeared. 1 Mr Croker, at Mount Jeffcott, was ' * laid up nearly a fortnight with inflamma- | 1 tion of the eyes, and was in great agony. 1 1 The extract was used, and in a few f | days the inflammation disappeared. | The Evening Times has reported , •cures of neuralgia, by the use of the ■extract, at Geelong. 1 The, extract, which is of a brilliant ' ■yellow gold color, and need not be con- J founded with the turpentine-like pre- 1 paration of the gum .that is to be found 1 in the trade, has been applied, with j 1 marked beneficial effect, to severe sprains, | \ all sons of wounds, cuts, scaldings, and i • its chief property—namely, to check all j 1 inflammation—accounts for the cures I f referred to. An equally ■ important i * ■quality of the extract is its efficacy as a •disinfectant. 1 Full reports of the above cures and declaration <of the case of Raabe, ac-} ! •company “ Directions for use” wrapped I •round each battle. j £ Wholesale and Retail, i 3 At U '3DU'N -C A N M‘LEAN ’S- H
