HOSPITAL COMMITTEE, MEETING.
A meeting of the recently elected Hospital Uominitt-cV was hold in the Council. Chambers list night. Present; Messrs. Everett t . (c’l.iir), Croumhi.-Br-ovn, Ivin,', Gu-gnl'llo, Todd, Rogers, . and Stewart ’■ ■ . The following , geu'ie.een were 'proposed mid elected mein''ers of ..Committee, viz.,. Messrs P -ter Arthur, Wm Wade, Sam. Pi*lock, B. O’Riurke (-/f Westbrook), Thos. Doyle (ofLir ikiui), Birruu (of the Uni-m Bank), Pnillip-. (Head Teidler Kumara State School), mftj Bnlstrooe*; also ihai the clergy men of the district lie invited to elect'one of their nnmlvr to act on the Committee. It was resolved that the temporary warder he instructed to rein dn in the ward till w od-rnan Reillv’s return from Hokitika. Proposed by Mr Tod 1, seconde 1 by Mr Rogrs, “Tlmt th- elecTon of Resident and offie.-bearers i e postponed till the next mee ing.” Mr Nicholson con cnted to act as SeC'-.-tavy and Treasurer pro tem. Messrs Todd and K,in > were elected an Executive Com mi tee. The meeting then adjourned.
