Wellington, April 18. In the Supreme Court this day an important decision was given in a Westport mining case. Mr Seaton, a shareholder in the Halcyon Quartz Mining Company appealed against the judgment of the Court. After agreement the appeal was upheld and the Court below was ordered to enter up judgment for defendant insisted of plaintiff'. The Supreme Court upheld the appeal on the ground that after the lapse of 21 days calls could not be sued for. Nelson, April 18. Sir George Grey addressed a crowded meeting at the Provincial Hall last night, when the substance of the speech was the same as delivered in Wellington and elsewhere. He was released on bail on promise to clear out to Victoria on Sunday next. Mr J, B.
