In compliance with paragraph 3 of the New Zealand Gazette, dated 13th December, 1577, the following are the Rules and Conditions to be observed in FIRING FOR THE DISTRICT PRIZES, For the Year ending 31st March, .-1878Th e sum of £2B ss. has been granted by the Government to the Westland District, which has been divided as follows: RIFLE VOLUNTEERS. First Set.—£l3 15s; 200, 500, and 600 yards; seven shots at each distance. The firing of the Greymonth Banprß and Greymouth Cadets will take place at Greytncmth on the 22nd and 23rd Feb,Niary. , The dates of firing of the First Westland Rifles, Kumara Contingent, and Hokitika Cadets will be fixed hereafter.
